NFS (Network File System)
Network file system is a protocol that allows individual users
access to files on a network as though the files were on each user's own
machine. Such distributed file systems are in wide use on TCP/IP networking
environments.
This protocol has been incorporated in products by more than 200
companies and is now a de facto Internet standard.
